About the event

Event is Oct 1st, 6 pm, Barcelona time

This session shifts the focus from technical implementation to the philosophy and framework of ethical data storytelling. It explores how to make deliberate design decisions that respect the reader, avoid harm, and keep the audience at the center of the narrative.

Moving from theory to practice, the presentation covers key principles of responsible design, including navigating the risks and benefits of using AI as a thinking partner. It then walks through real-world case studies from social impact projects (including APT Torture Prevention, Noise Solution, Eco Footprint Visualizer, and No Kill Colorado) to highlight the critical decisions behind each data story.
